Boca Juniors secretly makes offer for Adam Bareiro

Boca Juniors made a quiet move and presented an offer for Adam Bareiro, the former River Plate striker who currently plays for Fortaleza in Brazil and has a percentage of his pass rights held by the 'Millionaires'. According to the Argentine News Agency, the 'Xeneize' club made a three million dollar proposal to the Brazilian team, while the 29-year-old attacker is said to have given the green light to join the team from La Ribera. The surprise in the negotiations is that the blue and gold leadership will not only have to negotiate with the team competing in the second division of Brazilian football, but will also have to agree on terms with their eternal rival, River Plate. In this way, the good disposition in the negotiations by the Board of Directors of 'La Banda' will be key to knowing if Bareiro ends up playing under the orders of Claudio Úbeda. The Paraguayan forward arrived at River Plate in mid-2024 for around 4.5 million dollars. These conditions have still not been met, so the 'Millionaires' still have the same amount of economic rights that the Carioca team has. If the negotiations reach a successful conclusion, Boca will add hierarchy to their attack and a player to the liking of Juan Román Riquelme, president of the Xeneize, who had already sought the player when he wore the San Lorenzo jersey. However, his performance was not as expected, and after a loan to Al-Rayyan of Qatar, half of his pass was sold to Fortaleza for 1.8 million in US currency, while the remaining part remained in the hands of the team from Núñez. Within the agreement between River and Fortaleza, there were two objective clauses: to play 35 official matches and score 20 goals.
